Privacy

JustMeet has a number of privacy options. These are mute audio, freeze video, and use of the default image instead of a camera video image.

Muting audio

You can mute your audio at any time by clicking the audio icon. JustMeet will then mute your microphone so that no one else in the meeting can hear you. You will however still be able to hear the other participants in the meeting.

While your audio is muted, the audio icon shows a bar. To restore normal microphone operation click on the muted audio icon, microphone operation will be resumed, and the bar will be removed.

Freezing video

You can freeze your video at any time by clicking the video icon. JustMeet will then freeze your video and stop transmitting new camera images, so that no one else in the meeting can see your current camera output. You will however still be able to see the other participants in the meeting.

While your video is frozen your video image on the user interface bar will be frozen. The other participants will also see a frozen image as described in Participant Video Screen Presentation.

While your video is frozen, the video icon shows a bar. To restore normal camera video operation click on the frozen video icon, the video will be unfrozen, and the bar will be removed.

Use of the default image

You may choose to not transmit a video image of yourself for a variety of reasons, including privacy. This is described in Sending and receiving video.
